A few years prior to the 20th century when Dadaism took root, Alfred Jarry wrote a play UBU ROI at age 23. The single night performance that broke cultural rules and norms, was a parody of Macbeth and credited with being a forerunner of Dada, the Surrealist and Futurists movements of the early 20th century.
